fox & rabbit love nature and believe that it should be protected so that future little fox & rabbits can enjoy it. that is why we only source our timbers from a local family owned business, who is focused on ensuring the timbers they select are from forests which are harvested from sustainable resources. the timbers we use are listed below.
american white oak:

american white oak is an imported hardwood that is very popular worldwide for its use in furniture, flooring and joinery. its colour ranges from blonde to light brown and can age to a more grey colour over time. american white oak is generally a very clean timber with a tight fine grain and very few markings. american white oak brings such a warmth to our pieces, which is why it is fox & rabbit's favorite timber to use.
american white ash:

american white ash is an imported hardwood that is very popular for its use in high class joinery and boat interiors. its colour ranges generally from cream to white. ash is generally a straight grain with a course, but even texture. it is is relatively light and fresher looking timber with a scandinavian feel, which is why fox & rabbit love working with this timber.
american walnut:

american walnut is a native american hardwood with a rich chocolate brown colour with grey accents and a tight, fine grain. it is favoured by many craftsman for its responsiveness to glueing, carving and joining, making it a premium timber for furniture and joinery. walnut is a timber, which fox & rabbit love and why we feature it as an accent detail in many of our designs.
russian birch plywood:

russian birch plywood is one of the best interior plywoods on the world market, its high quality, grain and stability characteristics create a high quality aesthetic appearance to our products. it is favoured by many in the joinery and furniture industries. the platinum birch premium plywood is FSC certified, which ensures that it comes from well managed forests that provide environmental, social and economic benefits. fox & rabbit use birch plywood, because it has a nice scandinavian feel, with light colouring and a high quality finish.
pine plywood:

pine plywood is a sheet material manufactured from thin layers or plies of wood veneer that have been glued together with adjacent layers, pine plywood offers a stronger colour than birch plywood. fox & rabbit use pine plywood to give a more rustic appearance to our pieces.
